North-West College to Launch RN Program at West Covina Campus
Program Answers Increasing Demand for Well-Trained Nurses in the Health Care Field
WEST COVINA, Calif.—North-West College (NWC) recently received approval from the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) to bring its successful Associate of Arts in Nursing (RN) program to its West Covina Campus. Designed for individuals interested in becoming Registered Nurses, the two-year program blends rigorous classroom curriculum with relevant hands-on clinical experience.
“We are thrilled to expand our offerings by adding our sought-after RN program to our West Covina Campus,” NWC President Mitchell Fuerst shared. “To date, this program has yielded an impressive pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam—which means our graduates are finishing their studies equipped to hit the ground running in the nursing field.”
The Associate of Arts in Nursing program is housed under the College’s Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing, which is committed to remaining on the leading edge of nursing education. Students benefit from committed faculty and a dynamic learning environment—all with the goal of enabling them to succeed in a rapidly evolving health care field.
“On the heels of a pandemic that drove many RNs out of the field, the need for well qualified nurses is greater than ever,” Fuerst explained. “Expanding our RN program is another way North-West College continues to do its part to answer that growing demand. We have no doubt these nurses will go on to make an incredible impact on the lives of the patients and communities they serve.”
