North-West College was founded in 1966 by Marsha Fuerst. Marsha’s family had been involved in the allied health field since the early 1950s. North-West College continues to be operated by the Fuerst Family. The Fuersts’ passion for successful career education and a desire to provide high quality relevant training for students serves as the guiding mission for the College. North-West College is pleased to be recognized as one of the first Vocational Schools in California. At NWC, we have helped individuals find the career that’s right for them for more than 50 years.

History
What We Do
We offer high quality training for in-demand jobs in the health industry. Our modern technology provides students hands-on learning opportunities as they practice on equipment they will find in the World of Work. Caring Instructors utilize a blend of in-class teaching and practice time in the lab to cement students’ learning. In addition to well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, each campus houses administrative offices, a student union, restroom facilities, a Team Member lounge, study spaces, and open labs containing computers and printers (some of which may be in the classrooms themselves). The goal is to offer a supportive learning environment for every student at NWC.
When students enroll in our short-term, intensive programs, they study only those career-related subjects necessary to complete training in the shortest possible time. Students will also find that our commitment to them does not end with quality career training. Instead, it extends beyond graduation as we provide career placement assistance to every graduate. While North-West College cannot guarantee employment, we do have a dedicated Career Services Team to help students with everything from résumé writing to scheduling interviews with potential employers.
