NCI Welcomed President and CEO of Career Education Colleges and Universities Jason Altmire
Campus Visit Highlights NCI’s Ongoing Commitment to Educating Students for Success
LAS VEGAS, Nevada—Nevada Career Institute (NCI) hosted President and CEO of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU) Jason Altmire at its Las Vegas campus on Friday, February 9. The former Democratic Congressman from Pennsylvania toured the institute, connecting with students and hearing about their experiences at NCI.
“It was an incredible privilege to welcome Dr. Altmire to our Las Vegas campus,” shared NCI President Mitchell Fuerst. “He is a tremendous leader in our sector of education and brings a vitally important perspective with his history of public service.”
At the helm of CECU, Dr. Altmire advocates for the more than 300 member institutions. He also represents the postsecondary career education sector as a whole at the national level.
During his campus visit, Dr. Altmire also had the opportunity to speak with faculty and tour several classrooms and labs, including the new Nursing Lab created for the Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing at NCI.
Dr. Altmire emphasized the crucial role NCI and other colleges play in meeting the growing demand for well-trained health care professionals—especially in a post-pandemic world.
“We are immensely grateful to have Dr. Altmire and the CECU team working tirelessly to serve our sector of education,” Fuerst explained. “And we are committed to continuing to do our part to train health care professionals who will go on to make a difference in the lives of the patients and communities they serve.”
